OUR PROGRAMS

Food Program
More than 1,000 families each month ease financial hardship by shopping at Be Concerned. Through our food program, groceries and toiletries are distributed weekly to low-income families at no charge. Individual selection of goods are important aspects of the program. Thrift Stores
Customers have the opportunity to shop year-round for gently used clothing and accessories.

Special effort is made to provide children with school supplies and winter coats. More than 100,000 items are distributed annually, with most priced at just 50 cents. Customers also have the opportunity to shop for used housewares. Christmas Store
Once the foundation of Be Concerned, the Christmas Store thrives as one of our most rewarding programs for customers, staff, and volunteers. More than 1,000 families participate each year. No charge is required for toys, holiday food, grocery items and health and hygiene products distributed through the Christmas Store. Senior Delivery
On a monthly basis we will deliver pantry items to seniors or disabled individuals that are unable to come to the food pantry.

We extend our sincere gratitude to ZoomEssence and Baird volunteers for their adaptability and willingness to adjust to changing priorities during their volunteer session with us yesterday. As a non-profit organization, we frequently encounter shifting needs, sometimes on short notice. Thank you for your flexibility and assistance in completing various tasks, including moving furniture and rearranging shelves in our thrift store, so that we can continue to beautify the store for our customers!

St. Joseph School - Crescent Springs, KY is inviting anyone in the community who could use a free meal and some friendly company. To make it even more special, they’re planning fun activities for kids and giving parents a chance to relax by renting two huge bounce houses. Don’t miss out this Sunday!

✨Be Concerned Volunteer Spotlight✨

❤️This week, we are excited to shine a light on two incredible sisters, Joy Zeck and Sandy McGinnis!

❤️Joy and Sandy have each devoted over 25 years to our organization, and they truly enjoy partnering with our staff and fellow volunteers.

Fun Facts:

✨Joy’s twin, Jeanne Cady, also volunteers at Be Concerned.

✨Sandy is a substitute teacher and loves to travel with her family.

✨Both indulge in a shared hobby: pickleball.

❤️For the sisters, volunteering is more than just helping out at Be Concerned – it’s a treasured family tradition. Their mom, Anita Schneider, worked the front desk for 30 years before retiring in 2024. Their dad, Don, was a longtime driver and pantry helper before his death in 2019. That same year, the Schneider family received the Heart of Be Concerned Award, given annually to people or organizations who have provided “substantial and sustained” support to the agency. Thank you, Joy and Sandy, for being such vital volunteers for Be Concerned. We truly couldn't imagine this journey without you✨
