Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission is a nonprofit organization that takes a whole person, whole family, whole community approach when serving the Covington, KY community. We help the less fortunate in our community through family services, children’s services, housing services, and career readiness. Our tailored approach finds the needs most-pressing to the community and fills knowledge

gaps through counseling in areas such as credit management and budgeting, providing a toolkit for poverty-stricken families to reach independence.

Mary Kay Connolly, Director of Read Ready Covington, is retiring after years of dedicated service to children and families throughout Northern Kentucky. A former teacher, guidance counselor, and nonprofit professional, Mary Kay has been a passionate advocate for early literacy and school readiness, helping create programs and opportunities that have positively impacted countless families in our community. Through her leadership, Read Ready Covington has become a valued partner to Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission, and we are incredibly grateful for the collaboration, support, and commitment she has shown to our Head Start and Early Head Start programs over the years. NKCAC truly values our partnership with Mary Kay and wishes her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.
