When Aisa came to Welcome House in July 2023 seeking shelter for herself and her daughter, she was searching for stability and a fresh start.

After transitioning into housing at Gardens at Greenup in 2024, Aisa began rebuilding her future. With the support of her Family Coach, she returned to nursing school while working at a hospital in Edgewood and creating a stable home for her family.

In March 2026, Aisa graduated from nursing school and was offered a position with Norton’s Hospital. Today, she and her daughter are thriving in their own apartment, and Aisa is able to confidently support her family.

“I could not have made this possible without Welcome House and the stability that my Family Coach has given me. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me and my daughter.”

Stories like Aisa’s are possible because of the support of our community.

In honor of Memorial Day, Welcome House will be closed today, Monday, May 25th as we take time to remember and honor those who bravely served our country. We will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th.

This role will help grow community partnerships, strengthen donor relationships, lead corporate sponsorship efforts, and support fundraising initiatives that directly impact the individuals and families we serve.

We’re so grateful we were able to take the day at the Cincinnati Zoo to appreciate all of the hard work each person does to make Welcome House what it is and to support the men, women, and children we serve each day. Because of this incredible team, we’re able to help end homelessness and promote stability throughout our community.

Thank you to every staff member for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to this work every single day.

Welcome House will be closed today, Wednesday, May 13th, for our staff appreciation day! ⁠

We are taking the day to celebrate our staff for how incredible and hardworking they are–making such a big impact on those we serve. ⁠
