Covington Electric System team is out there right now building the power back. Covington Public Works crews are there now getting tree cleaned up. Thankful Covington, TN Fire Department made the scene fast and no damage there. Covington Police Department is manning the roads. We have great crews taking care of us. Hoping things wull be restored soon. We have closed City Hall and the Codes department offices for the rest of the day.
Phone, Internet, and Power are all down at these locations. We will be open back up at 8 a.m. Thursday. Please if you are in the outage area or know some one that is, check on the elderly and your pets because it will get out very fast during the hottest part of the day with no air circulation.

We need your help to find Homer Billings, who is missing from Tipton County.

The 81-year-old is 6’2”, 160 lbs., with gray hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen on Saturday and is believed to be travelling to Caruthersville, Missouri.

Homer may be driving a silver 2019 KIA Sorento with TN plate BGH4147.

He has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.

We were so thankful over the last few days to have several of our Covington team getting educated and networking at the PEP conference. Very Proud of our HR Director Cody Bumpus for implementing so many improvements in the Covington System and being recognized with an award!
