Reminder: on June 6 and 7, the Town Green will be the home of a Living History Weekend. Join the Spirit of 76 as they teach us about life during the Revolutionary War through military demonstrations, fife and drum music, and cooking demonstrations at their 18th century camp. There will be two battle demonstrations on Saturday, and one on Sunday.

A reminder, the Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony is this Saturday morning! All cross streets and driveways on North Main, Front St, and Coveland St, will be under a rolling closure from 10:50am to 11:30am.

The Town's Comprehensive Plan update is scheduled for adoption at the end of July! At this stage in the process, all proposed updates have been reviewed during open public meetings by both the Planning Commission and Town Council. Before the plan is formally adopted, the Town would like to give members of the community an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed changes. Accordingly, the Town will host an open house at the Rec Hall on Tuesday, June 16 at 6:00 p.m. Community Planning Director, Josh Pitts, will be available to discuss proposed updates and answer questions.

We are accepting applications for our Park & Rec Committee!

The Town is excited to announce the formation of a permanent Park & Rec Committee! We are looking for five to nine residents, representing different demographics and recreational interest, to meet on a regular basis and work with town staff to make decisions about improvements to our parks and open spaces. The only qualification is that you must live within Town limits. To find out more, contact [email protected]. Committee members are appointed by the Town Council and are volunteer positions.
