Please plan to attend our last in person meeting on November 17, 2025 at Cornerstone Bible Church in Coupeville. Elections for next year's Board of Directors will occur. Additional information relevant to our mission of horse and trail work on Whidbey Island is welcome. Monthly meetings will resume online using Zoom in Jan 2026.

We will be nominating the 2026 board members. Please plan to attend.

Thanks to all who volunteered their time to clear Mistletoe Trail at Putney Woods on October 11, 2025. It looks great!

Whidbey Island Trail Ride Connection trail work day:

Whidbey Island Trail Riders (BCHW Island County) updates:
-Thanks to the volunteers who helped at the Sept 13 work day in Putney Woods. Water bars on Trail of the Wild Fell were repaired, and vegetation was cleared to Rocky Road and Jane Eyre. It was noted that a tree is down on Roller Coaster.
-Our next work day is 10:00 on Sept 27 at Dugualla State Park at the end of Sleeper Road.
-Hunting season begins soon in Trillium so check the Whidbey Camano Land Trust website for updates on trail closures when only hunters are allowed on certain dates.
-The annual BCHW wine ride is Oct 25. Details are on BCHW.org website.
-Our next monthly meeting is Mon, Oct 20 at Cornerstone Bible Church, 502 NE Otis Street, Coupeville at 6:30. Nominations are needed to fill Board of Directors positions. President, Vice President, Secretary and Director will be stepping down from these positions. Consider volunteering your time to help keep this club active. Elections will be held at the November 17 meeting.

You don't have to be a member of BCHW to attend so don't be shy - stop by and say hi!

A big shout out and thanks to Debbie and Tony Brickel, who coordinated with island County Parks and received 7 new horse signs from the parks department. The Brickels installed the signs last week in Rhododendron Park. They look great! Their efforts will help clarify where horses are and are not allowed, and also designates where horse trailer parking is located.
