Our Omaha consumers had a blast participating in activities with the parachute! From throwing the parachute high into the air to working together on games and challenges.

Physical activities are a great way to encourage cooperation, communication, and social interaction, all while having fun with friends. Watching everyone work together and cheer each other on made the day fill with energy and excitement. 😊

We're always looking for creative ways to keep our consumers engaged and active, this activity was definitely a success!

Last week we wrapped up Vodec Days 2026. Both Omaha and Council Bluffs packed in so many fun activities in just one week.

Omaha featured dance battles, performances, the Vodec Olympics, consumer-voted Ice Bucket and Pie challenge, a neon dance party, and more!

Council Bluffs celebrated with tie-dye creations, Fancy Sips specialty drinks, snow cones, games, crafts, water bucket challenge, pizza, and ended with a dance party featuring DJ Ty.

The week provided so many opportunities for friendship, creativity, competition, and community connection. Check out all the photos to get a sneak peak of the week!

Cooking Up Fun in Urbandale!

We're excited to share that our Urbandale location has recently started cooking classes for our consumers! These classes provide a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy time with friends.

One of our recent classes featured a favorite treat: root beer floats! 🥤🍦 Consumers had a great time creating their own delicious floats while learning basic food preparation skills and enjoying a sweet reward for their hard work.

Cooking classes are a wonderful way to encourage independence, creativity, and social connection, all while having fun in the kitchen. We look forward to many more recipes, treats, and memories to come!

Our Council Bluffs consumers recently enjoyed a fun day at the bowling alley, filled with friendly competition, laughter, and plenty of great memories!

Whether they were rolling strikes, cheering on friends, or celebrating every pin knocked down, everyone had a wonderful time spending the day together and staying active in the community.

We love providing opportunities for our consumers to build friendships, try new activities, and enjoy experiences that bring people together. Events like these remind us that it's not about the final score, it's about the fun, connections, and memories made along the way.

One of our Omaha consumers, James, recently enjoyed a memorable trip to Memphis, Tennessee with his Shared Living Provider.

During their travels, they explored some of Memphis’ most iconic landmarks, including:
🏀 FedExForum, home of the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies
🏨 The Lorraine Motel Museum
🎸 Graceland, the famous home and estate of Elvis Presley
