Progress on blocked railroad crossings in Council Bluffs.

The City and Union Pacific are working together on immediate and long-term solutions to reduce blocked crossings and improve mobility for residents.

Union Pacific has already adjusted operations to help reduce blocked crossings during peak travel times. Meanwhile, officials at the City and UP plan to pursue state and federal funding to study a potential overpass or other long-term infrastructure improvements.

This work is the result of residents raising concerns, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to finding solutions.

The Borman Family Treetop Walk and MidAmerican Energy Adventure Tower open THIS SATURDAY at 10 a.m. Walk the Treetop Walk and climb to the top for FREE or level up with climbing, roll-gliding, and caving.

The Borman Family Treetop Walk officially opens September 19 at 10 a.m. at River’s Edge. The half-mile elevated walk through the woodlands is FREE and connects the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge to the new MidAmerican Energy Adventure Tower. Details: https://www.facebook.com/share/14tbWsdSXGW/
