I don’t feel great, again.

My eyes tell me one thing,
Our leaders say another.
I ain’t mad at you, she’ll say,
And then she’ll turn her car away.
But the ICEman’s even quicker,
Grabs his gun and pulls the trigger
Through the windshield, kills a mother.

My eyes tell me one thing,
Our leaders say another.
I see him on his hands and knees,
Just trying to take cover.
They drew their guns, despite the pleas,
In cold blood, killed our brother.

And then they tell a story,
That simply isn’t true.
Made up facts, to justify attacks
On people just like you.

I’m supposed to feel great now,
It’s what he said he’d do!
But all I feel is hate now,
From the lies they often spew.

We’re supposed to have more money,
For all the things we want to do.
He said he’d make us great again,
It’s just the joke’s on you, my friend,
Because all that money comes from you.

These people do just what they want,
Nobody checks their power.
I’m not sure what to do now,
To not get caught in witching hour.
