Old Hickory - F. W. Knox Villa

Italianate house built in 1880 as the home of Franklin W. Knox. In its later days it functioned as the Old Hickory Tavern.

The house now under renovation, is located on Main Street in the small town of Coudersport Pennsylvania.

Greetings from a lovely Saturday afternoon in the tower. I know it’s been quite some time since my last post. Sharing the house with all of you has always been a hobby for me, not a job. While I’ve been busy at work, you can rest assured that the house renovation is still in progress. From my view today you can’t see all the roof progress that has happened over the summer. Like many of our other projects, we’ve started with the less visible areas first and will be ending with the most visible area. I’ll try to carve out more time to share the progress whenever I can. Thank you to everyone who is still following along and to those of you who have reached out to make sure all is well. It’s been an incredibly busy year both at and away from the house!
