Yesterday 06/01/2026 at approximately 2120 hours a fire was reported at 451 East Second Street. The fire was quickly brought under control by Department 48. The fire was ruled an arson. If you have any information please contact our department at 814-274-8970

*Speed Limit Change*

Earlier this month the speed limit was reduced leaving town on Route 6 West. Starting at Sheetz it was reduced from 35mph to 25mph and remains 25mph until reaching the borough line going west. Today we started enforcing this change. Please take note and slow down. You can see the area of change on the map below in yellow. Thank you.

Thank you for everyone's help. A child was reported missing on Park Avenue which was found to be untrue. Child is safe and was never in danger. Thank you Department 48 and Dark Skies Search Dogs for assisting.
