The VA (Veterans Administration) van will be in Cotulla on Wednesday, 1/16, at the American Legion hall across from the high school between the hours of 11:00am to 3:00pm. VA representatives will be on hand to provide assistance to all veterans, not just American Legion members. Please come and take advantage of this visit to our area.

A wonderful time was had by all who attended our annual Christmas party on December 4th. We celebrated at the LaSalle Steakhouse this year and thoroughly enjoyed the food and fellowship.

Just a reminder that we meet on the first Monday of each month at 6pm at the Legion hall. A free meal is served after a normally short meeting so veterans, please join us!

Post 409 hosted the District 23 Convention this past Saturday. It was a success in every way. We enjoyed visiting with fellow Veterans from other Posts in the area, too.

The Post is sponsoring a youth marksmanship program starting this summer. An organizational meeting is planned for this coming Tuesday, May 17th. A formal announcement will be forthcoming when the details are known.
