This afternoon the CFD was called out to a structure fire on CR 81. Multiple departments were called out to assist with this fire. After arriving on scene we was able to extinguish the fire quickly. Great job to all departments that were involved!

Last night the CFD was called out to assist with neighboring department Lovetown Fire. There was reports of a large outdoor fire in between Nobles and Messer rd. We made sure the fire was contained to just the piles and waited for Alabama Forestry to arrived on scene to push a fire break. Good job to all involved.

Kevin has been with the Cottonwood Fire Department for 3 years! Kevin is a 2021 graduate of Cottonwood High School and is a home town boy who loves helping others! Kevin also serves in multiple other rolls in several organizations including Assistant Fire Chief of Lovetown FD and Chaplin for the Houston County Fire Association, among others! Kevin has been involved in the fire service in some capacity his entire life! Kevin’s biggest blessing is his faith. He serves as Assistant Youth Pastor at Union Hill Baptist Church in Cottonwood!
