Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce

Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce The Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce includes the communities of Cottonwood, Ferdinand, Greencreek and Keuterville. Welcome to the prairie!

Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 11:30 AM at Amy's restaurant in Cottonwood on Main Street. The settlement of Cottonwood originated its unique name from the black cottonwood trees that grew along the creek, a species considered the largest poplar in North America. Within 8 miles in three directions are the small communities of Ferdinand, Greencreek and Keuterville. All

four of our small communities are located in one of the largest counties in the nation and only 14 miles from the Idaho County seat of Grangeville. Our community is small, with a population of 2,278 residents including the surrounding area townships. We are a close knit and progressive community which enjoys a healthy business climate, friendly atmosphere and a wide array of available services. We take great pride in our area schools, hospital and medical services. The law is enforced by the Idaho County Sheriff and Cottonwood Police and our crime rate is very low. Our peaceful community provides a secure environment in which to live, raise children, retire and own property. We take care of each other in all walks of life, as seen in our various services including a children's theater, a strong high school sports program, numerous men's and women's social and civic groups and an active Senior Citizens organization, just to name a few. 2017 Officers include Greg Wherry President, Dar Forsmann Vice President, Beth Forsman Treasurer, and Candice Williams Secretary.

💙 One for the Books… Celebrating Debbie Schumacher 💙

Tissue warning: this one is bittersweet.

Today, we say “so long” to someone who isn’t just part of St. Mary’s Health & Clearwater Valley Health - she’s helped pour and build the very foundation we stand on.

After 35 years, 10 months, and 27 days, Debbie Schumacher is retiring, and it’s impossible to fully capture the impact she’s had on this organization and the people in it.

There isn’t a single person who has walked through our doors during Debbie’s time here who hasn’t been touched by her kindness, her steady support, and her unwavering dedication. She has been a constant, a problem-solver, a cheerleader, and a friend to so many.

Quite simply, St. Mary’s Health & Clearwater Valley Health wouldn’t be what we are today without her.

Debbie, thank you for everything. Your legacy here will be felt for years to come, and we are so incredibly grateful to have been part of your journey - and that YOU are a part of ours!

While we may be “mourning” your retirement just a little…we are even more excited for all that lies ahead for you.

Happy Retirement, Debbie - You've more than earned it! 💙
