Welcome to the team, Trevor Miller!

We are thrilled to officially welcome Trevor Miller to the Cottonwood Police Department family. Trevor is beginning his journey with us this summer and will be heading off to the police academy this July to start his training.

Celebrating Excellence in Our Community!

Last Friday night, we were proud to host the Cottonwood Police Department’s 2026 Annual Awards Ceremony. This event is a special time for us to recognize the outstanding dedication, bravery, and professionalism displayed by our team members who work tirelessly to keep Cottonwood safe.

The Cottonwood Police Department Teen Academy still has spots available for this summer!

This exciting 4-day, hands-on program is open to students ages 15–18 and offers a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement. Participants will experience patrol tactics, SWAT and K9 demonstrations, 911 communications, investigations, and much more.

Kidnapping and Sexual Assault Report

On May 20, 2026, the Cottonwood Police Department received a report that an unknown male suspect had kidnapped a juvenile female at gun point in a business parking lot near the intersection of West State Route 89A and 12th Street in Cottonwood. It was further reported that the victim was forced to drive the male suspect around the city, and was sexually assaulted. The suspect eventually fled on foot, after which the victim and her family contacted 911.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50 years of age, white, thin build, wearing a camo jacket or hoodie, gray jean-like shorts and a mask covering his face. The Department is asking for assistance from the public, or anyone that may have information about this incident to contact (928) 634-4246 ext.2245. Information may also be reported to Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
