Not much on the calendar for next year, as of yet, but as events are added, adjustments will be made. We like to keep our parents informed and give plenty of time for preparations to be made. Kindergarten and 5th grade students will meet at Cottondale High School gym for their graduation ceremonies.

Kindergarten- 5:00 students will go inside the gym to the hospitality room on the left side of the gym

5th grade- 7:00 students will meet outside on the west side of the gym

Cottondale Elementary’s final Safety Awards for the school year were awarded last week. Thank you Mrs. Laura S French for generously provided Krispy Kreme doughnuts for the recipients. In addition, thank you Officer Brooks for your personal contributions, throughout the year, to acknowledge the faculty members for their role in making Cottondale Elementary safe. The trophies you made possible, for this latest reward, were a huge hit.

Parents we are so very excited to celebrate your child with you at Awards Day ceremonies on Tuesday. Just a few reminders and housekeeping items....all awards day programs will be held at the Cottondale High School gym. You can enter directly through the front doors of the gym. Only students that are present at CES and ride the bus to the gym will be able to participate in Awards Day. If you would like to check your child out after awards day then we will need you to sign them out from the elementary school. We will not be allowing students to leave directly from the gym with parents. If you are planning to check your child out upon their return to CES, please let your child's teacher know in advance so they can have them ready as soon as possible. Parents and guests will sit in the bleachers. Chairs are reserved for students and faculty. Please be respectful when taking pictures and do not approach the presentation area during the ceremony. We have allotted ample time for recognitions and pictures before the start of the next ceremony. However, please be mindful that parents for the following ceremony will be arriving and need parking and seating. We are grateful and very appreciative that CHS has allowed us to use their gym, please keep the bleachers and bathrooms clean as you visit the facilities. We look forward to seeing you Tuesday!

Tomorrow is water day for our students and we are so excited about the day's planned events. A special thank you to PTCO for all their help planning the water stations. We also want to thank Mother Nature for inviting herself to our festivities. Excluding any thunder, lightning, or Heavy rain we will still be enjoying the planned events.
