Cottleville Police Department has officially received the Missouri Blue Shield designation from the Missouri Department of Public Safety.

This designation recognizes communities that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting public safety, strengthening partnerships with law enforcement, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Communities that earn this designation will have access to state grants for law enforcement training and equipment.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our police officers, city staff, elected officials, and the entire Cottleville community.

Together, we continue working to make Cottleville one of the safest and best places to live in Missouri.

Thank you to everyone who helps make our city a community we can all be proud of!

Community Support During Irish Fest

The Cottleville Police Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to Chick-fil-A and Mellow Mushroom for providing meals for our officers during this year’s Irish Fest.
Large community events like Irish Fest require long hours and additional staffing to ensure everyone can safely enjoy the festivities. Our officers often dedicate extra time and work extended shifts to serve and protect the residents and visitors of Cottleville.
Support from local businesses like Chick-fil-A and Mellow Mushroom is truly appreciated and helps keep our officers fueled while they continue working to keep our community safe.
We are proud of the hardworking men and women of the Cottleville Police Department, whose dedication and professionalism help make Cottleville the safest city in Missouri.
Thank you again to these businesses for supporting our officers and our community!

🍀 IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR! 🍀

The annual 5K Run in Old Town Cottleville is here!

Race Route Information:
The run will start at Cottleville Fire Station 1, travel west on Highway N to Weiss Road, continue to east Cottleville Parkway, proceed through Legacy Park, and then return back onto Highway N, finishing at Fire Station 1.

After the run, several side streets throughout Old Town Cottleville will remain closed as Irish Fest activities begin. These closures will mainly affect local streets within the Old Town area and should not interfere with the normal flow of traffic on surrounding roadways.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we help keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Public Service Announcement: Snow Removal During Major Winter Storms

As the City of Cottleville prepares for a major snow event, the Cottleville Public Works Department and Police Department are asking residents to do their part by removing parked vehicles from neighborhood streets whenever possible.

Parked vehicles significantly slow snow removal operations and prevent plows from fully clearing roadways curb-to-curb. When streets are clear of vehicles, snow crews can work more efficiently, safely, and stay on schedule—helping restore safe travel conditions for emergency responders, residents, and businesses.

Snow events of this magnitude require a large-scale, coordinated effort among multiple agencies. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), St. Charles County, the City of Cottleville, and other government services are collectively responsible for clearing approximately 2,450 miles of roadway in St. Charles County alone. To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of plowing 12 inches of snow from St. Charles County to San Diego, California.

Every parked car left on the street adds time to this already massive operation.

Please help us help you:
✔ Move vehicles off neighborhood streets during snow events
✔ Allow snow plows to operate efficiently and safely
✔ Help keep roads passable for emergency services

Your cooperation makes a real difference. Thank you for doing your part to help keep Cottleville safe and moving during winter weather.

Big thank you to St. Joseph Church, school staff and parents for allowing Cottleville Police the opportunity to educate your 5th graders on the dangers of substance abuse and bullying. In reference to the Cottleville forum post about the Honda CRV.

The driver of the Honda CRV passed two Cottleville officers that were on a traffic stop on Mid River Mall Drive at an extreme high rate of speed. One of the officers left the traffic stop and attempted to stop the CRV. The driver failed to yield and attempted to evade the officer. The driver of the CRV lost control of the vehicle and crashed on Knaust Road and fled the vehicle on foot after the crash into nearby woods. The Cottleville officer was able to locate the driver in the woods and attempted to take the driver into custody. The driver resisted arrest, assaulted the officer, but officer was able to gain control and take the driver into custody. No injuries were reported to the officer or th driver.

This is an ongoing investigation and if anyone witnessed this incident and would like to pass along any information please contact the Cottleville Police Department. 636-498-6464 or non emergency number 636-939-9966
