⚠️ Storm Update – Please Use Caution ⚠️

The Town of Rosendale continues to experience the effects of last night’s severe weather. Several residents remain without power, and there are numerous trees and utility wires down throughout the town.

Please stay away from any downed wires. Always assume they are energized and extremely dangerous. If you encounter downed power lines, do not approach them. Notify 911 or the Rosendale Police Department immediately so the appropriate resources can be dispatched.

Central Hudson crews are actively working throughout the town and have requested additional outside support to assist with restoration efforts. Our Highway Department is also bringing in additional resources to help clear roadways and address storm damage.

The forecast calls for additional thunderstorms and high winds later today. We encourage everyone to remain alert, secure any loose outdoor items, and continue to monitor weather conditions.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as our first responders, highway crews, utility workers, and emergency personnel work together to restore services and keep our community safe.

Please continue to report downed trees, hazardous road conditions, and downed utility wires to 911.

🚴‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏃‍♂️ TRAFFIC ADVISORY – ALPHA WINS TRIATHLON 🏃‍♂️🏊‍♀️🚴

The Town of Rosendale Police Department would like to advise residents that the Alpha Wins Triathlon will be returning to Williams Lake this Saturday.

Due to a modification of this year's event course, **Binnewater Road between Williams Lake and Lucas Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.**

***Residents who live within the closure area will still be able to access their homes. Traffic entering and exiting the closure zone will be directed to travel **north toward Lucas Avenue**. Residents returning home from outside the closure should enter from the Williams Lake side and proceed north to their residences as directed by event staff and law enforcement personnel.***

Please be advised that **there will be no through traffic permitted during the event**, as we are expecting significant bicycle and pedestrian activity throughout the course. These measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of participants, spectators, and residents alike.

We respectfully ask all residents, especially those who live on or frequently travel Binnewater Road, to plan accordingly and allow for additional travel time or alternate routes during the event.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we help support another successful community event.
