Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I have a poster like this flag I’m holding that says “You Are Loved” on my office door in the Capitol. Almost weekly, we can hear people (some young, some old) going by the door and saying “You Are Loved!”

And this is the importance of this month - we all deserve to be loved for who we are, no matter the gender, sexual orientation, race, hair color, clothes, or anything!

And as an ally, I will continue to fight until we can all be accepting of one another and make this world a better place for you, for me, for your kids and mine. ❤️

I was able to take a tour of the Miller Brewing Company with my colleagues. It was fascinating to hear about its rich history that is so intertwined with Milwaukee, Wisconsin and our nation!

It’s that time of the year- signature collecting to get on the ballot which goes April 15-June 1st! 🗳️
(I am in the middle of my 4 year term so do not need to collect signatures this year.)
It was great to see my colleague Representative Andrew Hysell and Mitch Wiersma out at the Sun Prairie Farmers Market this morning, talking with residents and collecting signatures.
Let’s make sure to help get good people on the ballot who are doing the hard work everyday to move our state forward 👏

I had a wonderful time at the CoCo (Columbia County) Dems annual dinner to support my colleagues and hear from Keynote Speaker, Minnesota State Senate Majority Leader Erin P. Murphy, who is a Wisconsin native. Wisconsin issues are Minnesotan and American issues and it will take all of us working together to move our country forward and past this current administration.
Others in attendance included candidates for Congessional District 6, including Brad Smith for Congress, and union organizers like Chad Ratz for SMART Local 18. It was great to be around hopeful and happy spirits who know how to roll up their sleeves and get to work!

Over these next few months we have the opportunity to learn more about the candidates running for governor. I appreciated the Candidate Meet n Greet recently held by my friends, Colleen and Kent Hartung, to give people an opportunity to learn more about some candidates.
