Our contractor, C & R Construction, will continue paving work to resurface county roads next week. Their anticipated schedule for next week is:

6/1: Walk Dr
6/2: Mayden Trail Rd

Mayden Trail will be the last remaining road on our contract, so this will complete the work for this contract.

This work is weather dependent, so if it rains these dates will be adjusted.

Please be mindful of this work if you will be traveling these roads next week. Please slow down and keep it safe for the workers taking care of your roads!

***Upcoming Road Closure***
**River Rd**

River Rd between the Town of Mauckport and Wesley Chapel Rd will be closed on or after Wednesday, June 3 for a culvert replacement. We expect the closure to last one day.

If you use this stretch of River Rd please plan accordingly.

5/19: Pleasant Grove Rd
5/20: No work on 5/20
5/21: Grange Hall Rd
5/22: Grange Hall Rd

Our contractor, E & B Paving, is scheduled to begin work on the rehabilitation of BR #37 on Turley Rd and BR #76 on Crestview Ave. Detour routes for each location can be seen in the attached pictures.

The detour for BR #37 on Turley Rd will utilize SR 62 and Pfrimmers Chapel Rd.

The detour for BR #76 on Crestview Ave will utilize Crandall Lanesville Rd and SR 62.

The contract amount for this work is $340,475.00.

More details related to the scope of work included in the project is also attached in the pictures below.

We expect the closures on these two roads to begin on or after Tuesday, May 26, 2026. E & B is expected to complete the work within 60 calendar days, which would be July 24, 2026.

The school year is coming to a close and we will soon get to pick up our next round of painted snow plows from local schools. This program would not be possible without the support of local vendors.

The Highway Department is implementing a new on-line application process for Driveway Permits and Right-of-Way Permits. There will be a dead period beginning now until 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2026 through which we will not accept any new applications. Then, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, all Driveway Permit applications and Right-of-Way permit applications must be submitted through the new online portal that can be found here:

We will no longer accept the old paper/email forms for Driveway Permits and Right-of-Way permits.

There will continue to be no fee for driveway permit applications.

There will now be a $50.00 fee for all Right-of-Way permit applications.

It's always a challenge to make changes like this, but we will do everything we can to make it as smooth as possible.
