Another great week of Benton County Outdoor Summer Adventures is in the books! 🌲🏹

Campers ages 8 to 12 spent four days exploring the parks and natural areas in their own backyard, learning archery at Adair County Park, stepping back in time at Fort Hoskins Historic Park, casting a line and discovering wildlife at Clemens Park, and identifying native plants on the trails of Beazell Memorial Forest.

Huge shout-out to our partners at . This program is a true collaboration, and we couldn't connect local kids with the outdoors without them. 👏

🚧 PARK NOTICE – TEMPORARY CLOSURES 🚧

Please be advised that the boat launches and parking lots at Clemens Park, Millcreek Park, and Campbell Park will be closed to motor vehicles this Friday and Saturday for much-needed asphalt maintenance work being completed by a contractor.

To ensure the work can be completed efficiently and safely, parking lot areas will be closed to vehicle traffic only. Walk-in access will still be allowed unless active construction work is taking place.

This maintenance project will help preserve the asphalt and extend its life for many years to come. The work is being funded through Benton County Capital Improvement Funds.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while these improvements are completed.

Parking alternatives:
• Millcreek Park – Parking may be available near Robinson Grove
• Clemens Park – Limited parking is available near the end of Seely Creek Rd.
• Campbell Park – Access may be very limited due to lack of nearby parking availability

Spring is showing off in our Willamette Valley prairies right now — that pink wash is rosy plectritis (sea blush) in full bloom. Look closely and you'll spot two Fender's blue butterflies on the wing, a species found nowhere else on Earth but here in our valley.
Protecting and restoring native upland prairie is one of the quieter but most important parts of what Benton County Natural Areas, Parks & Events does. Healthy prairie means lupines for caterpillars, native wildflowers for nectar, and a future for one of Oregon's rarest butterflies. 💙
