🌊 Be a Water Advocate
Stormwater Tip of the Month: Take Action to Protect Water Quality

Brought to you by the Benton County Stormwater Program

Stay informed about water quality issues in your area.

Spread the word and be a water advocate. Talk to your neighbors about how they can help, and work with your local elected officials to ensure pesticides and other toxic chemicals are not used at schools, local parks, or other public areas.

You can attend local watershed meetings and tell your political leaders and water agencies to support local, state, and national policies that conserve water and stop pollution.

May was National Pet Month. County Administrator Rick Crager, County Clerk Darla Rush and some of their staff had the opportunity to wrap up the month with a tour of Heartland Humane Shelter & Care where thousands of people in our community met their beloved pets. A big "thank you" to Executive Director Kari Whitacre for telling us about low-cost clinic services, fostering, the new Whiskers Cat Lounge and many other services vital to the health and happiness of pets and people.

It turns out Beavers aren't the only animals CA Crager loves - a litter of two-day-old kittens, rescued from a parking lot, stole his heart.
