The Portland NAACP's Freedom Fund Gala was so inspiring!

It was a great opportunity to connect with other Black elected officials and our supporters. It was a good reminder of how important representation in local government is, and made me even more motivated to continue as a City Councilor.

I chatted with State NAACP President Jame Posey and Oregon State Treasurer Tobias Read, among many other state reps.

I forgot to take pictures because the program was so packed full. Thanks for inviting me!
