Cortland County Youth Council was out McGraw Baptist Church with the McGraw Lions Club Chicken BBQ. We were giving away children’s bikes and helmets. Bikes first come/first serve. We gave out several bikes and fitted each recipient with a helmet.

The Cortland County Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program (CYSHCN) provides education and information on health services and community resources for children for children and youth ages 0-21 with special needs.

Cortland County Youth Council will be at McGraw sales tomorrow. Saturday, June 6 beginning at 10 am. We will have a limited number of helmets for children to be fitted and use at no cost. We have a limited number of bikes available at no cost as well.

Several Cortland County Health Department staff recently attended the Common Ground, Common Grants Workshop hosted by SUNY Cortland and Seven Valleys Health Coalition. The workshop provided a great opportunity to learn more about grant development, build new connections, and collaborate with community organizations and SUNY Cortland faculty on future partnership opportunities.

Join the CYSHCN Program Center of Excellence on Wednesday June 10th at 10:30am to learn about Behavioral and Conduct Problems. This session is intended for parents and professionals who work with children and youth. Attendees will learn about symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options.
