Southwestern Madison County in central New York...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 608 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lehigh
Vallley Junction, or over Seneca Falls, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Onondaga, Syracuse, Auburn, Pompey, Seneca Falls, Waterloo, Owasco,
Sennett, Cazenovia, and Fleming.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

We pause to remember the lives lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, and recognize the strength and unity shown in the days that followed.

* At 908 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located over
Scott, or 8 miles northwest of Cortland, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* These dangerous storms will be near...
Preble and East Homer around 915 PM EDT.
Truxton around 920 PM EDT.
Cuyler around 925 PM EDT.
De Ruyter around 930 PM EDT.
Otselic around 940 PM EDT.
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
