Wickwire Pool will open for the season on Sunday, June 21 - not Saturday, June 20 as originally announced.

Yaman Beach will be open on Saturday, June 20th 11am-7pm.

This opening date allows our high school lifeguards the opportunity to enjoy their graduation celebrations and spend time with family and friends as they mark this important milestone.

We are incredibly proud of our graduating lifeguards and grateful for the dedication they bring to our community each summer. Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2026 and wishing them the very best in their future endeavors!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Wickwire Pool on June 21 for a fun and safe summer season. See you at the pool! ☀️🏊

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday (despite the less-than-perfect forecast) - and for joining us at today’s Touch a Truck event!

We had an amazing turnout all weekend long and loved seeing so many kids enjoying the opportunity to explore the vehicles, meet the operators, and learn more about the important work they do in our community.

We especially want to thank all of the companies, departments, and organizations that took the time to participate and bring their trucks and equipment for the kids to enjoy. Your support and willingness to be apart of these events helped make the weekend a special experience for so many families. 🚒🚓🚚

🚚 TOUCH A TRUCK TODAY! 🚓🚜🚒

Bring the family out to the Cortland County Office Building parking lot today from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

Kids will have the chance to explore all kinds of trucks, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, race cars, monster trucks and more. 🚑🚛

Come climb, honk, explore, and enjoy a great community event. Free!!

Bring the family out to the Cortland Youth Bureau Touch-A-Truck event where you'll get up close to an impressive lineup of trucks, buses, race cars, and specialty vehicles from across the community—including a Centro bus!

Admission is free, so stop by, climb aboard, and enjoy a great day of family-friendly activities.

Tomorrow is the Dairy Parade, here’s some important information from CPD. 🐮

𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Date: Tuesday June 2nd
Start Time: 6:30 pm
Route: North Main St - Homer Ave (see map)
Line-up for participating floats / organizations will be on the same side streets as usual.

IMPORTANT: if you live on the parade route or have a vehicle parked on the route, please make sure it is moved in time for the parade. Also please move garbage / recycling bins in before the parade.

All roads connected to the parade route will be at least partially closed on the parade route side. All staging streets will be closed.

The roads will start to be shut down around 4pm, with the full parade route shut down by 6pm at the latest. Vehicles left on the route will have to be towed if they cannot be moved by an owner. If you anticipate having to go somewhere between the hours of 6-7:30 PM, please leave prior to the parade route being closed at 6PM.
