UPDATE 12:30PM - Repairs have been completed.

Temporary Water Shutoff – Preparation Requested

The City of Cortez will be performing an emergency water valve replacement at the intersection of South Chestnut Street and West 7th Street on Thursday, June 11th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Water service in the surrounding area will be temporarily shut off during this repair window. To stay prepared, please fill water containers in advance and store enough for drinking, cooking, and essential household needs.

After repairs are completed, some residents may notice turbidity or temporary cloudiness in their water. This is normal after valve work and should clear as the system stabilizes.

While crews will work to restore service as quickly as possible, unexpected issues may extend the outage. We appreciate your patience as these important infrastructure repairs are completed.
