For several months, Jeff Smith-Corsicana City Council and I have talked through what our long term strategy for the City of Corsicana needs to look like. We are proud to release our goals for Corsicana for the next 1-50 years.

We are incredibly proud of the growth our city has experienced over the last decade, and excited to see how we continue to grow in the future!

This is a topic that Jeff and I hear about on a regular basis, and we want to host another town hall on the topic to receive more public feedback on our processes. Please share!

The reconstruction of West 13th Avenue from South 15th Street to South 31st Street will begin Monday, October 28th. The two year project will replace underground utilities, construct the storm drain system, concrete pavement, sidewalks and driveways. The first phase of construction will be from South 15th Street to South 20th Street, requiring one-way traffic on the westbound side. Drivers are reminded to obey the traffic signs, don't speed and watch for workers in the construction zones.

There has been significant discussion regarding the city manager position the past few weeks. Tonight the Council made the decision to pursue hiring an interim city manager while we continue the search for a permanent city manager. Additionally, the Council will be engaging a professional private search firm to assist in securing candidates for the city manager position. At this time there are no appointees or finalists for the city manager position.
