We are so excited for Summer Camp & VBS, which continues this annual tradition started by Fr. Walsh and offers ADULTS and CHILDREN with SPECIAL ABILITIES a space to gather in community!

Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ & Consecration of the New Cathedral Altar

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ and the Consecration of the New Cathedral Altar at Corpus Christi Cathedral. ✨

The Diocese of Corpus Christi invites all faithful to join in this historic and sacred occasion, beginning with a special ASL-interpreted Mass at 6:00 PM at Corpus Christi Cathedral, ensuring greater accessibility and inclusion for members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. 💜

Following Mass and the consecration of the new altar, the Eucharistic Procession will journey through downtown Corpus Christi as a powerful public witness to the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. 🙏

The Ministry of Life Enrichment for Persons with Special Abilities is honored to highlight this accessible opportunity for worship and fellowship as we continue fostering a Church where all are welcomed, valued, and able to participate fully in the life of our faith community. 🫶

Whether you love leading activities, serving meals, decorating, dancing, acting in skits, or simply bringing joy to others — there’s a place for you here.

✨ WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?
• Adults
• Youth (16+)
• Large groups

📌 REQUIREMENTS:
• CMSE Certification (Diocese of Corpus Christi)
• Enthusiasm for working with the Special Abilities community

🙌 WE NEED HELP WITH:
• Table leaders
• Games, crafts & snacks
• Serving meals
• Acting for skits
• Rallying the group & dancing
• Decorating & setup
• Meal sponsorships
• Financial donations
