The Corpus Christi Professional Firefighters Relief and Outreach Fund was created by professional Corpus Christi firefighters that wanted to give back to the community and also be able to help a brother or sister firefighter in need of funds due to serious illness or injury. Funds are donated to families displaced from a residential fire in the Corpus Christi area. Funds are also given to local, state and nationwide active firefighters or their family members, spouses or legal dependents, due to serious illness or injury. The Relief and Outreach Fund has officially been a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since June 19, 2013. It has a three member Board of Directors: Emilio Hernandez, Brendan Pierce and Amber Lopez. The majority of our funds are raised throughout the year by the CCPFFA Fundraising committee. For example, our annual Reverse Raffle, bi-monthly poker tournaments, Power Up! program through Stream Energy, and Gun Raffles. We have donated $8,750.00 between June 2013 to December 2014 to residential fire victims, active firefighters, and their family. Thus far this year, we have already given $12,000.00. Please follow our FB page to keep up to date on all our fundraising events.
