The Corpus Christi Professional Firefighters Relief and Outreach Fund was created by professional Corpus Christi firefighters that wanted to give back to the community and also be able to help a brother or sister firefighter in need of funds due to serious illness or injury. Funds are donated to families displaced from a residential fire in the Corpus Christi area. Funds are also given to local, s
tate and nationwide active firefighters or their family members, spouses or legal dependents, due to serious illness or injury. The Relief and Outreach Fund has officially been a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since June 19, 2013. It has a three member Board of Directors: Emilio Hernandez, Brendan Pierce and Amber Lopez. The majority of our funds are raised throughout the year by the CCPFFA Fundraising committee. For example, our annual Reverse Raffle, bi-monthly poker tournaments, Power Up! program through Stream Energy, and Gun Raffles. We have donated $8,750.00 between June 2013 to December 2014 to residential fire victims, active firefighters, and their family. Thus far this year, we have already given $12,000.00. Please follow our FB page to keep up to date on all our fundraising events.
