The City of Corpus Christi Engineering Department provides complete engineering and project management support for the City's Capital Improvement and Bond Program,as well as other City Departments and the public. Street Operations maintains approximately 1,234 miles of streets and alleys. Preventative maintenance includes the techniques used for preservation of the structural integrity of the pavement cross-section. The basic theory behind pavement preservation is to apply relatively inexpensive preventative maintenance to pavements at regular intervals to avoid much more expensive repairs later.
