City of Corpus Christi Stormwater Pollution Prevention Improve water quality by minimizing storm water pollution

Inform and educate the Corpus Christi community the impact our actions have on storm water quality and quantity. Communicate with those impacted by local, state and federal storm water regulations of changes in those regulations, training opportunities, and provide a space for community feedback and suggestions.

Corpus Christi Storm Water employees were at the Cabaniss Athletic Complex Saturday handing out sandbags to help residents prepare for the storm season.
If you missed this event, don’t worry! The City is hosting another sandbag giveaway on Saturday, June 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Cabaniss Athletic Complex at 3061 Saratoga Boulevard to pick up your sandbags.

In preparation for the current hurricane season, the Corpus Christi Public Works Department will offer residents free pre-filled sandbags at two upcoming events at the Cabaniss Athletic Complex, located at 3061 Saratoga Boulevard. The right, eastbound lane of Saratoga Boulevard between Ayers Street and Kostoryz Road is reserved for the events. Residents will not be able to make a U-turn from the westbound lane of Saratoga Boulevard to enter the line.
Sandbag Distribution Events:
Saturday, June 13
• 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (or until all sandbags have been distributed)
Saturday, June 27
• 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (or until all bags have been distributed)
Residents:
• 8 free sandbags per vehicle
• Clear an area in your trunk or bed of your vehicle
• Remain inside your vehicles during loading
