so come next may I believe the first part of your actual water park will be open. Time to shut down hurricane alley. that place is over priced for what you get. hope both making but I don't see it happening. I might just have to buy me a season pass to our schlitterbahn. every Friday after work I might just be there when they stay open till 8.

Looks like schlitterbahn is on the way to north padre island or also know as corpus christi.

There is the story. the city had a bond election in 2008. we past the bond to enlarge two roads on the island, but now schlitterbahn wants the city to do more road development. now we are talking about a four lane road each way. it will cost more, but in the end will have so much more to offer us. the project will cost 1.9 million dollars. an increase of one million dollars from the price set back in 2008. the people on the island are not aguring about the cost, but complaining about trafic, and safty. the arguement by the people is stupied. if the city went with two lanes both way and still put in schlitterbahn. well I have news for you.your going to be praying for two more lanes each way to help deal with trafic. second it would be safer to add more lanes, and would decrease the number of traffic accidents. next if your worried about someone crossing the road and getting hit. well would be more people would cross if it was only two lanes each way compared to four lanes each way. schlitterbahn is a family place for great summer event for years to come. they are very safe and forsee injuries by not allowing glass bottols of any kind. People lets put our diffences aside andwork to get schlitterbahn in corpus christi. If moneyisthe issue that would be a valid point, butthe issue was with traffic and safty.

so the city is doing there part to bring schlitterbahn to corpus christi, but the people on the island have a problem with schlitterbahn coming. I would love to know why? the island always wants development, but once we get a chance to grow something or someone has a problem with it. To those on the island SHUT UP and relax. your getting what you wanted. The island and corpus will be better off with schlitterbahn then without it.
