Coastal Bend Day of Giving Administered by Coastal Bend Community Foundation, this 24-hour online matching fundraising campaign

In November 2009, nine area foundations initiated the Coastal Bend Day of Giving, a matching gift program in response to the need for food, shelter, and basic human services in the Coastal Bend. The funds raised assisted nonprofits impacted by the downturn in the economy. Additional Days of Giving have been held every year since, raising over $24.3 million to help thousands of our neediest neighbo

rs with much needed services. Matching funders pledge match monies, offering donors the unique opportunity to make gifts that are doubled to local participating nonprofits in a seven-county service area (Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio). Only the donations made through the website at www.coastalbenddayofgiving.org count towards the match. The event's goal is to: Fight Hunger, Support Children, Improve Health, Reduce Homelessness - Right here in the Coastal Bend

💚 Meet Hon. Robert E. Blaschke of Refugio County, a member of our Board of Directors and a longtime leader in the Coastal Bend community.

A retired DuPont employee and former Refugio County Judge, Judge Blaschke continues to make a lasting impact through leadership and service across the Coastal Bend. He currently serves on the boards of the Refugio County Community Development Foundation and the Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group, and is President of the Woodsboro Education Foundation.

In 2023, Governor Greg Abbott appointed him to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority Board of Directors. We are grateful for the experience, perspective, and dedication he brings to Coastal Bend Community Foundation and the communities we serve. 💛
