Most City of Corpus Christi offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Friday’s garbage and recycling for zones 5 and 10 will be collected on Saturday, June 20. Please disregard the mail-out stating zones 4 and 9; those are incorrect. Zones 4 and 9 will be collected on their usual date, Thursday, June 18.

The City of Corpus Christi’s Solid Waste Services has you covered with a FREE community paper shredding event for City residents, hosted in partnership with RBFCU and Shred-IT.

The event is happening alongside our Litter Critter event on Saturday, June 13, at the W.B. Ray High School parking lot, 1002 Texan Trail, next to the Performing Arts Center.

♻Organizers are excited to announce that cardboard recycling will be offered again at this Litter Critter event. Please bring clean, empty, flattened cardboard boxes, free of any Styrofoam or packing materials.

Residents should prepare to offload their items; commercial hauling is not permitted.
Items accepted include:
• Heavy brush
• Bulky items
• Household trash
• Up to 4 standard tires
• Metal items and household appliances
Items NOT accepted include:
• Hazardous waste
• Asbestos, antifreeze, brake and transmission fluid, batteries, cleaning solvents
• Concrete

Please take these items directly to:
J.C. Elliott Transfer Station 7001 Ayers Street Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 Open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Brush & Bulky Set-Out Schedule for Area 3-A has begun!

Remember to set out your heavy brush and bulky piles from June 10 through June 14. Collections begin the week after the set-out dates for your area.

Brush and bulky are picked up together, but piles must be separated. Group piles by metal, non-metal, brush, and tires.
