Tropical Storm Edouard has developed off the coast of Louisiana and is still forecast to move toward the Upper Texas coast. South Texas will see no direct impacts, but chances for rain increase, especially across the Victoria Crossroads, Tuesday and Wednesday. If traveling to this area, please check out US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston Texas and the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center for the latest.

There’s a high, 70%, chance for an area of low pressure to develop into a tropical system. The disturbance just south of the southeastern LA coast is expected to drift WNW over the next few days and reach the LA/TX coast Tuesday or Tuesday night. Regardless of development, direct impacts to South Texas are not expected at this time, although an increase in rain chances is possible. Interests to South Texas should monitor the forecast closely as updates are provided.
