Our Police Officers participated in defensive tactics today, strengthening the skills they use to keep our Islander community safe.

Yesterday, we proudly swore in four new Police Officers — Gomez, Osuch, Longoria, and Lamb. 💙

Sponsored by the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Police Department, these officers successfully completed the Del Mar College Regional Police Academy and officially took the oath as commissioned police officers.

Officers Gomez, Osuch, and Longoria previously served the department as Security Officers, while Officer Lamb’s journey began as a student worker before advancing to Security Officer and now Police Officer.

Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to serving the Islander community have led them to this important milestone.

Please join us in congratulating Officers Gomez, Osuch, Longoria, and Lamb on this achievement and wishing them success as they continue serving and protecting our Islander community. 👏💙

This job isn’t easy—and it’s not always perfect—but it’s important. Day in and day out, they answer the calls, handle the chaos, and keep things moving behind the scenes.

It takes focus, resilience, and a whole lot of patience to do what they do.

We appreciate the work, the long hours, and the role they play in keeping things running.
