🏴‍☠️ WELCOME TO LONDON, COACH ALANA BENITEZ! 🏴‍☠️

London ISD is excited to announce the hiring of Alana Benitez as the new Head Softball Coach and Assistant Volleyball Coach at London High School!

Coach Benitez joins the Lady Pirates after a highly successful stint at West Oso High School, where she led the Lady Bears to an undefeated District Championship and earned District 29-3A Coach of the Year honors in 2026. Her leadership helped transform the program while building a culture centered on accountability, discipline, sportsmanship, and academic excellence.

As a player, Coach Benitez has competed and won at the highest levels. She was a Texas State Champion at Santa Gertrudis Academy and went on to play collegiate softball at Coastal Bend College and Our Lady of the Lake University, where she helped lead the Saints to the 2024 NAIA National Championship.

Her impressive playing career includes:

⭐ First Team All-District Outfielder (2019-2021)
⭐ Easton Academic Award Recipient (2019)
⭐ Offensive Player of the Year (2021)

⭐ CBCA All-Star Game MVP (2021)
⭐ NJCAA Region XIV First Team Infielder (2022)

Beyond the accolades, Coach Benitez brings a passion for player development, team culture, leadership, mentoring, and program building. Her experience as both a championship-caliber student-athlete and a successful coach will have an immediate impact on our softball and volleyball programs.

UIL Lone Star Cup Update!!!

Cᴜ𝓛ᴛᴜʀᴇ 🏴‍☠️

We are proud to announce that London High School finished 2nd in the State of Texas in the UIL 3A Lone Star Cup Standings with an incredible 88 total points!

The UIL Lone Star Cup recognizes the top overall high school programs in Texas based on success in academics, athletics, and fine arts competition. Finishing as the #2 overall 3A program in Texas is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the dedication, commitment, and excellence displayed throughout our district.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes, coaches, teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, and community. Together, we continue to build a culture that strives for excellence in everything we do.

At London ISD, our culture is our foundation. The success we celebrate today is the result of countless hours of preparation, sacrifice, teamwork, and a commitment to the Pirate Standard.
