👨‍👩‍👧‍👦☀️ Looking for a meaningful way to keep your teen engaged this summer while helping them build valuable life and job skills? The City of Coronado’s Leader-In-Training (LIT) program offers teens ages 15–18 the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fun, supportive environment. 🌟💼

🤝 As an LIT, participants work alongside recreation staff and instructors, assisting with a variety of summer camps while developing leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. 🗣️👥 They’ll gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and learn responsibility—qualities that can benefit future jobs, college applications, and personal growth. 📈🎓 Each week, teens are assigned to a different camp, which may include ⚽ sports, 🎭 musical theater, 👩‍🍳 cooking, 🧸 preschool programs, and more.

🌱 For younger teens ages 12–14, the Jr. Recreation Leader Program offers a similar experience, providing an introduction to workplace skills and leadership opportunities under the guidance of Recreation Department staff. 🏅📚

Join Dr. Maria Del Carmen Perez T. 👩‍🏫 as she explores how women contributed to one of the most influential art movements of the twentieth century. 🎭🖼️ Open to all experience levels, this course takes place Thursdays, June 4–18, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the John D. Spreckels Center. 📅⏰

This fun, hands-on class invites participants to discover how simple seasonal ingredients can be transformed into fresh, colorful, and delicious salads. 🥬🍅🥒 Participants will work together to prepare three recipes:

🥗 Hearty Chopped Italian Salad
🥜 Flavorful Kale Salad with Peanuts
🍑🧀 Refreshing Grilled Peaches and Burrata Salad

Along the way, the class will cover helpful kitchen basics including washing and chopping vegetables, preparing dressings, and safely assembling dishes. 🔪🥗✨

From rehearsals 🎬 and behind-the-scenes moments 🎨✨ to the exciting performances on stage 🎶🎤 and the joyful awards celebration with families 🏆💐, this production was filled with creativity, teamwork, and heart ❤️🤝.

These dedicated performers 🌟 brought the beloved story to life with energy ⚡, music 🎵, and imagination 🌈, creating a memorable experience for everyone who attended 👏🐻🐅.
