Last week, some of our Blue Hawks attended the National Helicopter Association’s 2026 Symposium. “The event of the year for Naval, USMC, and USCG vertical-lift aviation!”
During the awards ceremony, HSM-78 was presented the Battle “E” Award earned by every one of our sailors’ hard work and dedication.
Our aircrewmen participated in the MCPO Rick Shoaf Memorial Aircrew Challenge. This was a physical and mental endurance competition which included pulling a firetruck. They truly dressed to impress as the only team with matching jerseys.
We also had the chance to welcome our newest flock member during the Soft Patch/Fleet Up Ceremony.
