Saturday, we gathered to honor Wilson Perez, a distinguished and dedicated member of our community and a proud veteran who devoted his life to uplifting his neighborhood. His commitment, humility, and unwavering love for the people around him have left a legacy that will continue to inspire. We closed the night out with my annual tree lighting ceremony, some Christmas caroling, and what else but some fireworks to brighten up the night sky.

A huge shout out to the Students from PS14Q Fairview who every year do an amazing performance under the leadership of Principal Benson, Ms. Lasso, and Ms. Ortega.

My district office featured an art installation, Christmas tree lighting, and a gingerbread house, made possible by liberty construction.

And to Vinnie Laucella of the Queens United Lions Club for the fireworks display.

A strong way to end the night and bring the community together.

Yesterday was my final community event at our District Office, a tradition that has meant so much to me. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the love and support you’ve given me throughout my time as your Council Member. 💙

Thank you to our incredible sponsors and partners who brought joy to our families and made the day so special you truly showed up for our community. And to my incredible staff, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and hard work. These events wouldn’t have been possible without you! (list the sponsors)
