Bob White for Currituck County Commissioner District 1 I am seeking the Republican seat for commissioner in District 1 in Currituck County. This would encompass Knotts Island, Carova, and Corolla.

I have long held that Corolla and the four wheel drive areas, (Swan to Carova) are not properly represented. I believe to represent and understand area you have to live there. Under our current system the representative district is lopsided. This district encompasses Knotts Island and the beach strand from Corolla to Carova. Carova is lumped into the Fruitville Township, which in effectively Knott

s Island and Carova. The two are separated by water and completely different needs in many areas. Currituck is an extremely difficult county geographically speaking. We need to redraw the maps to accomplish more complete representation of the residents and better serve the needs of the districts. We need forward thinking and common sense solutions for a sustainable future in Currituck. I will give my all to see that this county makes a plan for its future. As it stands we have do not appear to have one. Corolla is poised to be overrun with the bridge and we need a vision in place to deal with this future demand. Now is the time, not a patch after its to late.
