Hi everyone, due to some unforeseen circumstances we are forced to cancel our meeting this Saturday. We’re sorry for any inconveniences caused to anyone, but we will have an October meeting. We hope this gives everyone some more time to recruit people to attend the next meeting. We are working hard behind the scenes to regroup and reorganize to ensure that this organization takes off.

Thank you all for your continuous support!

Thank you to those who came to our meeting today! We appreciate all of you and your enthusiasm! We have a lot of great projects planned for the coming weeks. Our women's shelter drive will be establishing collection sites locally so we can collect as many items for women in need in our community. We also discussed coordinating with the Hope organization at Habersham Central High, making care packages for homeless individuals in the area, and our first fall fundraiser!

Also, we are pleased to welcome two new members to our board of directors in an official capacity: Emily Farmer as our Treasurer and Kelsey McShane as our Fundraising Director! We are so excited to have these two dedicated people as a part of our organization!

I would like to take this time to remind everyone who follows this page what our mission is as an organization and what it entails.

Although we began this journey as a part of the Indivisible guide almost a year ago, as you all should know there have been significant changes made to the basis of what this organization will be working towards. It is in the opinion of all of us involved that transparency is key, that being said if you no longer feel our mission aligns with your values it is your choice to continue to support our organization or not.

Firstly- since the beginning we have been dedicated to working towards benefitting progress in this community and helping the most disadvantaged members of said community. Our women's shelter drive and our upcoming literacy program are evidence of working towards goals that benefit us all.

Secondly: when we decided to change our name, we decided to no longer have any affiliation with the Indivisible Group because it was our realization that being a politically focused organization was not what we envisioned, however we envisioned an organization that achieves progress through direct community service action.

Lastly, with all of this said WE ARE NOT involved with, officially supportive of, or remotely affiliated with ANY political organization, candidate or entity. Our focus is not political, and since our incorporation it is expressly forbidden for us to be involved in any political action.

With all due respect, please refrain from contacting us regarding any political action. Any posts made regarding political action will be deleted.

It is with all sincerity that I believe that we can make progress in this community through the means of direct volunteer action--which can and should align with everyone's values across the narrow aisle of politics.

Thanks for your support and understanding,

Halley Russell

Just a reminder to everyone, because we are certified as a charitable organization we are now able to take donations. Because of this, we are in desperate need of a treasurer. If you or someone you know would be interested in the position, please contact us. We will be making our final decision by our next meeting, August 18th.

We're so grateful for the continuous support we've received and can't wait to start working on the exciting projects we have in mind. We're happy to be able to work in the Northeast Georgia area as a non-partisan group that seeks to include people from all walks of life who just want to make a difference!

I want to take this time to announce that we have been incorporated as a non-profit charity organization in the State of Georgia, and will be receiving our permit to practice charity work in the mail very soon. This opens up many doors for us to organize fundraisers, community projects, and legally collect money and work with other organizations to further our cause of helping the most disadvantaged members of our community. We could not do this without all of you great people who believe in our cause of acting locally for progress. I personally want to thank our Vice President Kaycie Pitts as well as our Communications director Jane Marie Price. I couldn't have done this without your dedicated work. We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming meetings and events we have planned!

Hi everyone!

A huge thank you to everyone who came to the meeting today. It went really well and we have lots of new ideas for the rest of the year and logistics for our upcoming projects.

First, we are continuing to take donations for Circle of Hope. We are focusing on menstrual care items, but anything else is also appreciated. This will be an on-going project so please bring items to any of the meetings we have in the future. Bessie Conklin is in charge of these donations and feel free to contact her with any questions.

Second, we have a plan for our tutoring/mentoring program, and we hope to get that started by the beginning of this school year. If you would like to be involved in this project, please contact us.

Third, we have several ideas about fundraisers (once we are a certified non-profit with the State of Georgia -- currently pending), but we would love to hear your ideas! Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions.

Finally, thank you all so much for your support. We will have a July meeting set up soon and will keep you all updated!

Hi everyone!
Apologies for the radio silence, there have been a lot of things in the works in the background and we'd like to share them with you.

First, we have turned our paperwork to become a registered non-profit. Once the registration is processed and approved, we can begin taking donations and really begin our work to achieve our goals.

That being said, we still have work that we can do! We'd like to begin a donation drive for Circle of Hope focusing on menstrual hygiene products. These are products that are often not available to people who need them, so we think a drive focusing on these products would be incredibly helpful.

We are also in the very early stages of some longer-term projects, so stay tuned! We have a lot of ideas and are working on prioritizing them while also accomplishing as much as we can. At the same time, we'd love to hear your ideas! We really want to bring the community together, so we really value everyone's ideas and opinions. You can contact us here, on Facebook, or send us an email at [email protected]

Finally, thank you so much for your continued support. It truly means a lot to us that there are so many people in our community to share our goal of making our community a better place for everyone. We hope to see you all at the next meeting.

I would like to take this time to update everyone who is following our group. We have been working very hard lately to become completely above board and recognized as a charitable organization with the State of Georgia. This is a fairly long and tedious process, but we intend to be completely legal and able to take donations by the late summer of this year. Thanks for all your support, we can't wait to start doing some great work for the outstanding residents of our local community.
