B. F. Liddon House, also known as "The Cat House" - circa 1907 This is the official page for the locally famous "Cat House" in Corinth, Mississippi. Designated a Mississippi Landmark on October 10, 2002. The B. F.

Liddon House was started in 1902 and completed in 1907. We purchased the home in August, 2013. So excited to get started with restoration, we knew then it would be a slow process because the house had been without occupants for around 40 years. Like many of you, we drove by the Cat House numerous times over the years pondering its history and imagining the secrets it held inside. Our goal is to preserve this local landmark so that it may be enjoyed for generations to come. We are periodically asked if the Cat House is available for rental. Currently, this is a "labor of love" and not a commercial venture. If that changes in the future, we will make information available here. We hope you enjoy following us on this restoration journey! Kitchen update! When we acquired the house, the kitchen was an empty room. Not only that, but it’s relatively small considering the house size. The space has been gutted and restored, and we accentuated the room’s height with a large skylight. We’ve also installed an arched entry for interest. Still much to do, but we’re getting closer and closer to cooking in here! ☺️

We’ve been too busy to post lately, but there’s been some progress! The Carriage House has received new custom wooden exterior doors, and its second floor has a new garage apartment with bed, bath, and kitchenette. We can’t wait to make memories in here!
