I grew up with a schizophrenic uncle. He was brilliant! A lover
of sports, music, his family, and deep conversation. You wouldn’t have known he was mentally ill just by looking at him. His disability was invisible but to US, his family, he was a shining light in our lives! He loved us with his whole heart! He looked out for his family, attended a day program for the mentally ill , had friends, and my Grandma was a Saint! She advocated for the mentally ill and made a difference in the lives of many. She opened our hearts and eyes to those who live with such challenges.
** she also made sure my Uncle Gil took his prescribed medication! 🙌🏽💜👵🏼

I was fortunate to spend an entire week 24/7 with my daughter who is expecting her first baby! I painted the nursery for my grand girl with my son-in-love so mommy-to-be wasn’t exposed to paint fumes! We laughed, cried happy tears, I got to go to an appointment and hear my grand girl’s heartbeat!!! We shopped, and my daughter cooked ME fabulous dinners!! I’m proud to say she learned this skill and passion from her mama!
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think about you all and our little free library! I called Mr. LFL daily and asked about Frodo’s LFL! He will forever be my TOP DAWG!! He kept the library full as books were taken and brought in all the donations! He even restocked Halloween trinkets and sticker sheets!!! I came home this morning to these wonderful donations, a well loved library, sweet notes in the guest book, AND 3 returns!! THANK YOU for all of it and THANK YOU for returning Atmosphere, Britt-Marie Was Here, and Oh The Things They Invented! I love that we can keep sharing them!!
In the last week 17 books found new paws and homes and we received 15 donations!! Interested to check out
bookcrossing.com - 4 books have the sticker. No idea what it is but going to find out!!
A special thank you all the visitors for treating the library with love and respect. Several of my LFL steward friends have had some disheartening experiences this past week. Please always be on the lookout in your neighborhoods that LFLs aren’t being vandalized or wiped out of books by one person! Little Free Libraries are free but also for sharing with everyone!

We all know someone who could use a friendly hello, a kind smile, a text, phone call, note in the mail to lift their spirits! 🥰💌

Kindness is free so please reach out to those you know who may be struggling and are afraid to ask for help.

I, personally, have experienced an abundance of love, kindness, support through this community of readers, book lovers, little free library stewards, our LFL visitors, book club friends that will be life long friends!

Last year I lost my beloved grandma, my furry reading buddy, Frodo Baggins, and my husband was diagnosed with cancer; all in a span of 6 months. I had my first RA flare in several years due to the stress. My plate was full!! I’m SO GRATEFUL for anyone reading this! You made a difference and I thank you for all the smiles you brought to my world daily!!

Books, reading, the network of stewards, and all the bookish things transported me to an incredibly happy place while navigating the hard stuff!
You ALL have been a part of that! THANK YOU! 💞📖🫶🏽

Went to The Square today to start enjoying the 31 days of Halloween. Was sad to find the Little Free Library there empty! We ran home and grabbed a stack of books! It’s now FULL w/ extra goodies and a sign to celebrate
Not sure what happened to the door but at least it’s covered to protect from upcoming rain.
