Shannon Patrick Ketron was last seen in Cordell, Oklahoma, on June 17, 1982. At the time of his disappearance he was 7 months old.

According to his mother, Ann Ketron, they were driving from Buffalo to Cordell in her silver 1978 Pontiac when they pulled over on a dirt road off Route 183 so she could retrieve something.

Allegedly, a white male in a green late-model GMC truck approached and asked Ann if she needed help. When she declined, he mentioned she looked like his ex-wife and then knocked her unconscious. When Ann regained consciousness, Shannon was gone. He is presumed to have been taken by the unidentified man, described as 5'10" and 175 pounds with a dark (tanned) complexion. The abductor is also believed to have taken a green duffel bag from Ann's car.

At the time of Shannon's abduction, Ann's husband, Dustin Ketron, was in prison for burglary. Ann took a polygraph test regarding her son's disappearance, but the results have not been disclosed.

Shannon is described as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. Some agencies may list Shannon's birthday as November 12, 1979 but family members have confirmed he was born November 1981. The date of his presumed abduction is also sometimes listed as July 17, 1982. Shannon is listed in NamUs as # 19115 and there are zero DNA comparisons for him. As of May 27th, 2026, family has donated DNA in Shannon’s case to help ID him.

Shannon's case has remained unsolved for 44 years. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Shannon Ketron, please call the Wash*ta County Sheriff's Office at 580-832-2334, referencing case # 13-0074, or the FBI at 405-290-7770. You can also submit a tip anonymously to your local law enforcement agency.
