Corbett Water District Invites Public to July 21 Board Meeting and Rate Hearing
The Corbett Water District Board of Commissioners invites community members to attend its Rate Hearing at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Regular Board Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Corbett Fire Hall (36930 E. Historic Columbia River Highway) or virtually via Zoom.
A key topic of discussion during the Regular Board Meeting will be proposed improvements to the District's water system, including potential pipeline replacement and other infrastructure upgrades. These improvements are intended to enhance structure fire protection, reduce the risk of water main breaks, better manage high water pressures, and strengthen the overall reliability of the water system. The improvements agenda item involves long-term investments to help protect homes and businesses, support emergency response capabilities, and may influence future costs to water customers.
The Board will also conduct a public rate hearing to consider proposed changes to monthly billing and water rates and fees, followed by consideration of a resolution during the Regular Board Meeting. Community participation is encouraged. Public input is an important part of the decision-making process.
