This is an annual campaign, designed to educate the public about su***de prevention and the warning signs of su***de.

If you know someone who is feeling depressed or who you feel may be considering su***de, be there for them---listen, help them find resources that may assist them. Life is precious.

Because of these hard-working men and women, and their commitment to economic fairness, this nation has achieved unprecedented strength and prosperity.

God Bless all who now labor to keep our country strong! Thank you to all those that came before us, and all those in organized labor keeping that commitment today, that have worked tirelessly to not only support this nation but to support the dignity of the American worker.

Interstate 79 Shoulder Restrictions Next Week in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing shoulder restrictions on I-79 in Robinson and Kennedy townships, Allegheny County will occur next Tuesday through Friday, September 8-11 weather permitting.

Shoulder restrictions will occur in both directions of I-79 between the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchange and just north of the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60 A/B) interchange from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. These restrictions are to accommodate crews conducting preparatory work and the installation of traffic control devices in advance of upcoming overnight and weekend patching operations, which are anticipated to occur in mid-to-late September.

Please stay alert and drive cautiously – safety is everyone’s responsibility.

This morning, some of colleagues and I went fishing on Lake Erie. Having the privilege of serving as Chair of the Game and Fisheries Committee has given me a much deeper appreciation for our hunters and anglers! Our hunting and fishing traditions here in Pennsylvania are deeply rooted and must be respected and preserved. That is one reason that Inwas pleased that the House passed my legislation to provide trapping and hunting programs on our schools. I hope the Senate will take up and pass that legislation so as to pass this knowledge on to future generations
