244 Tanker was first due for a working structure fire at a duplex in the village. Initial dispatch was a dryer fire off the kitchen. Fire was confined to the room or origin and under control in under 15 minutes. No injuries reported.
Thank you to mutual aid companies for assistance. 244TN, 243TK, 245R, 127TK, 181R, 181E, 148 RIT.

Last night Station 244 hosted “Passenger Train Emergancy Responce” training presented by Amtrak. Nearly 60 first responders from mutual aid fire departments attended.

This week’s drill night included stations Kennedy 181 and Forest Grove 243. Brush Fire equipment and UTVs including our new brush fire trailer were used to draft off the Montour creek.

Boating season is upon us…. Be safe and wear your PFD.

In recent years Station 244 has responded to several large brush fires in the township
and surrounding communities. Often brush and wild fires are difficult to access. 244 UTV was utilized to carry equipment and personnel.

Last night 244 added an offroad firefighting brush trailer behind the UTV. The trailer carries a 125 gallon water tank, pump, and hose. It is also capable of drafting from surface water sources.
