The City of Coquille is happy to let you know that repairs to the drinking water plant have been completed ahead of schedule. Repairs were completed today thanks to the hard work of the plant operators and Public Works Crew Members! While there was never any issue with the quality of water produced, the volume was reduced and operators worked long hours to try to meet demand. We appreciate the public's patience on this matter and the voluntary conservation of water.

It’s that time of year again!!
School is starting soon!! Please use caution during the day, especially during the morning, lunch time, and afternoon when kids are out and about. Remember that every intersection is a crosswalk!
Many school bus stops don't require the bus to activate its warning lights, however, you should still use caution when passing a stopped school bus on the side of the road.
The attached picture is to remind drivers when they are required to stop. Unless there is a barrier or an unpaved median (5 feet or more in width), all vehicles must stop. Not stopping for a school bus with its flashing red lights activated is a Class A traffic violation. The presumptive fine is $435 for this violation. See less

The City of Coquille has suffered a critical motor failure at the Drinking Water Treatment Plant. A 50HP motor that runs a blower to back-wash the filters has failed.
While the City of Coquille is still able to make safe drinking water at the plant, the process is much slower, and our production is severely limited for the next few weeks while waiting for the replacement unit. We will be working around the clock to maximize the amount of water we can make during this time.
Any effort on the part of our customers to conserve water would be of a benefit to everyone in the City.
We appreciate your patience while we get this problem resolved.
